PetScripts.uk ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe.

1. Who we are

2. What data we collect

We currently collect the following personal data:

Email address — when you sign up to our launch waiting list.
IP address — temporarily processed during form submission to verify you are not a bot (via Cloudflare Turnstile). We do not store your IP address.

3. How we use your data

To notify you when PetScripts.uk launches.
To send occasional updates about our service (you can unsubscribe at any time).
To prevent abuse of our signup form using Cloudflare Turnstile.

4. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

We process your email address based on your consent, which you give by voluntarily submitting the signup form. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us at hello@petscripts.uk.

5. How we protect your data

Your email address is encrypted using AES-256-GCM before being stored.
We store a one-way SHA-256 hash of your email to prevent duplicate signups — this hash cannot be reversed to reveal your email.
Encryption keys are stored securely as environment secrets, separate from the database.
All data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure within the EU (West Europe region).

6. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

Cloudflare — hosting, DNS, CDN, analytics, and Turnstile bot protection. Cloudflare may set cookies for security purposes. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
Google Fonts — to serve web fonts. Google may log your IP address. See Google's Privacy Policy.

7. Data retention

We retain your encrypted email address for as long as necessary to notify you about our launch and provide service updates. You can request deletion at any time.

8. Your rights

Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction or deletion of your data.
Withdraw your consent at any time.
Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

9. Cookies

We do not set any first-party cookies. Cloudflare Turnstile and Cloudflare's security features may set strictly necessary cookies. These are not used for tracking or advertising.
